This website uses no cookies, advertising trackers or user accounts.
Visit analytics and preferences
Synesis uses Umami Cloud for cookieless visit analytics and does not use advertising trackers. Umami receives the visited page URL and title, referring page, browser language and screen size. Reading does not require an account. Fonts and article images are loaded from this website. By default, the appearance follows your device setting. If you choose light or dark mode, we save that choice only in this browser’s local storage (synesis-theme) for future visits. The preference is not sent to the server and is removed when you select “Automatic” or clear the site’s data.
The legal basis for analytics is our legitimate interest in understanding which content is useful to visitors (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Umami uses no cookies and builds no visitor profiles. How Umami handles data is described in its privacy policy.
External images are presented as links rather than loaded automatically. Following an external link takes you to another website with its own privacy practices.
Hosting and connection information
The website is hosted on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in a data centre in Finland, in the European Union. A visit sends the server the information needed for the connection, including an IP address and the requested page address. This information may be temporarily recorded in system logs, which we use only for security and troubleshooting before they are deleted.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the website securely and reliably (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Connection information is also processed by the hosting provider and the analytics provider Umami Cloud.
Email and message retention
You can contact info@synesis.si with enquiries, questions, corrections, or concerns about privacy, accessibility or content rights. We use your email address, message and the information you provide to handle your enquiry and respond. Please include only the information needed to address it.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to your message (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). Our email is operated by Zoho on servers in the European Union.
We delete correspondence 12 months after your enquiry is resolved. If an enquiry leads to work together, we keep the information needed for the offer, contract and invoice for as long as the law requires. To ask about your information or request its deletion, contact us at the same address.
Rights and complaints
Rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability depend on the type and legal basis of processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including Slovenia’s Information Commissioner.
